Turkey Joints (candy)

Turkey Joints hard candy - specialty from Rome, NY

Yes, there really is a candy called turkey joints. Yes, they are delicious. Yes, they are gluten free.

They are made by the family who created them in Rome, NY.

This is a hard candy with a shiny outside and an inside filled with chocolate and hazelnuts. And if you break one open, it really does look like a turkey joint!

They are delicious. They come in a 12oz glass jar.

Ingredients: hazelnuts, milk chocolate, sugar, cream of tartar.

May contain: peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soybeans

Nora’s is owned by the Haritatos family, which began making the chocolate treats in 1919, and they’re still made by the same (secret) handmade process. No one knows for sure where the idea for the bone-shaped candies came from, but they’ve been a local Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition for decades.
